Welcome to Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church
"...For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations." Isa 61:11
During the progression to the climax of the epic story of Our Lord and Savior, we find Jesus in prayer at a Garden called Gethsemane, and this is the place where He ultimately accepted The Father's divine will for His life. As the name of this ministry implies, we at Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church sincerely pray that the ministry of this house empowers you to be able to say "yes" to the Will of God, and that the preached word, or the psalmstry equips you to endure the full weight of God's mandate on your life.
The word "Gethsemane" means "the old press;" it is the place where God, in all of His Holy providence, presses out His people so that all nations may reap the benefits of His husbandry. Gethsemane MBC is made up of an august body of believers who are striving to reach the goal that the Lord has set before us, and we entreat you to join us in our press toward the "mark of the high calling, which is in Jesus Christ." And while you are in your press, just as an angel came to comfort Jesus in His agony, the angel of this house, Pastor Anthony Butler, Sr., through the preached word, will strengthen you in your hour of need, so that you may be capacitated to walk in The Light of The Father.
"You Count, and We Care."
-Pastor Anthony Butler, Sr.
